Dustyn has earned the Short Sale & Foreclosure Resource(SFR) and Certified Distressed Property Expert(CDPE) designations for dealing with short sale and foreclosure properties and has also received the Sanibel & Captiva Island Specialist designation expanding his knowledge of the Land Development Code and Ecology of the islands.  Dustyn specializes in the marketing of waterfront property, REO properties, and short sales.  

Personal Background

Originally from Northern Minnesota, Dustyn enjoys the outdoors, boating and traveling.  A Southwest Florida resident since 1981, his knowledge of the area spans across Lee County including Sanibel, Captiva, Fort Myers, Cape Coral and the Beaches.

Professional Background

Dustyn graduated from the University of Florida in 1998 with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and an Area of Specialization in Advertising.  After college he worked as a Financial Advisor for John Hancock Financial Services.  Since he joined RE/MAX of the Islands in the summer of 2000, Dustyn has managed the Vacation Rental Program and the Annual Rental Program.  While transitioning to a full-time sales associate in 2004, Dustyn sold $10 Million in real estate while overseeing the management of the Blind Pass Condominium Rental Program.  He is a member of the RE/MAX 100% Club for 2004 and 2005 and the RE/MAX Executive Club for 2008, 2009 and 2010.
